Description

Practicing scales can be daunting, frustrating and even boring…I get it!

Playing scales typically does not rank up there on the most fun list of things to do on the flute. We’ve been told that they are necessary and most of us likely know their value. After all, they help us to improve our technique and, ultimately, our playing. They should form the very heart of our flute practice.

Yet, many of us get frustrated, overwhelmed and even confused by how to approach scales. We may even skip practising them all together or do so half-heartedly and with no real structure in place. How can we change that?!

You need a GOOD system

To successfully conquer this part of your practice,  you need a  clear and systematic approach to scales that is easy to follow and tailored to your level. You are not lazy or incapable of learning, you just need the right approach!

One of the most transformative moments of my life was discovering a good system to practice my scales and technique. It changed the game for me.

I have used an adapted version of this system with most of my students and have seen their playing improve significantly. I believe in it so much that I created a course…and a book!

What is The Flute Scale Course?

I have developed a step-by-step approach to learning your scales that is fun and effective.

The Flute Scale Course is an online video course designed not only to help you to learn your scales but also to improve your overall playing.

Aside from learning your scales, you also receive  lessons in improving your tone, breathing, articulation, and more! This is because we USE the scales to work on these other areas of your playing. So rather than focusing on scales in an isolated way, this course helps you to see how they connect with the other areas of your practice and playing.

With weekly video lessons, extensive resources and detailed practice plans that tell you exactly what and when to practice , you will be able to turn your scale practice around and start seeing some real results. We have done all the thinking work for you; all you have to do now is to show up for practice!

 What’s included:

  • TWO weekly video lessons
The first video will explain the scale and how to play it. The second video shows you how you can use the scale to improve a specific aspect of your playing such as tone, breathing, articulation, and more!
  • Practice materials
Each week, you will receive practice materials to help you practice your scales and improve your technique. These resources come straight out of our Flute Practice Scale Book.
  • Detailed practice plan
Every day, you will know exactly what to work on and when to work on it. To help keep you on track, we provide you with a practice plan containing daily instructions on what to practice and when to practice it.
  • Level-appropriate studies

You will receive studies and study suggestions for various levels in all keys to supplement and guide your practice as you go!

This course will help you to…

Learn your scales, improve your playing and stay on track with your practice.

Only a smiling visitor here to share the love (:, btw outstanding design.

  2. Lee Ann Strelzow

Course is super well organized and easy to follow. Great for all levels , Tatiana guides you through and keeps a good pace but if you can’t keep up it isn’t a big deal , easy to work at your own pace and best to. We all get overwhelmed in life and Tatiana works hard to keep us on track no matter what level you are at and how much time you can devote. She is very motivating

  3. Helle

What I liked about the scale course is that Tatiana takes it to a whole new level by using the scales to practice other things while also playing scales. You learn you are not stuck just playing a scale up and down but there can be a lot of versatility and fun. You learn the scales and while doing so also use them to practice for example finger speed, breathing techniques, vibrato, articulation and more. It is not boring to play scales any more. Of course, you learn how scales work and how they make it easier to play repertoire and music in general.

  4. Sylke

The scales course is for all level. I like it very much! When I worked my way though this course as a beginner and learned the basics. Now it was my second time and I managed some scales in two octaves and natural, melodic and harmonic minor. And there is definately room to learn more the third time.
