Do your thoughts get in the way of your playing?

You love to play music but sometimes it just feels hard. We have all been there before. Everything is going well until you need need to play in front of others or worry that your neighbors may hear you and then your thoughts take over. It almost feels as if nothing wants to work, your sound, your fingers, and to top all of it your thoughts about your playing and how you're approaching the music are not helping either.

You are not alone!

Many musicians (Amateur and professional) struggle with this too. The problem is that many times we get in our own way, psychologically we allow negative thoughts about our playing to control the situation.Becoming a more confident flutist is a workshop designed to help you discover the thoughts, fears and habits that are holding you back and explore what it means to be truly confident on the flute.This work will help you:

1. Work through what you should practice and the mindset you should approach it with.
2. Focus on the aspects required to become a more confident flutist.
3. Work on exercises designed to help you overcome these challenges, step-by-step.
4. I will take some time at the end of the session to work with a few of you, uncovering your specific challenges and helping you find solutions.
5. Take some time to answer all your questions!

As always, we will be doing some hard work and lots of learning, but having a lot of fun in the process.This is a recording of one of our 2-hour live sessions. Our community members gained so much from the session that many joined another live session as well! We include a workbook for you to process and work through in your own time.
